About Me

With over a decade of teaching experience in both state and independent prep schools across London, I have wealth of insight into how children learn best.

I’m a qualified teacher with a background in psychology, a former Head of PSHE, and a trained mindfulness teacher.
My mission is to make learning enjoyable, effective, and emotionally supportive for young, impressionable minds.

I believe children thrive when education is both structured and nurturing – where academic growth goes hand in hand with well-being. That’s why I founded Bright Minds Club – a calm & supportive space where children can enjoy learning, whilst being supported by expert guidance and with a focus on positive mental health.

Parent Feedback

“Alima was only tutor for our daughter's 11+ preparation.

Having started her preparation a year and a half before the tests, our daughter made excellent progress and received offers from all target schools, accepting an offer from Putney High.

She confidently passed the preparation period due to a well-planned preparation programme and a successful teaching style with interesting lessons and a friendly, optimistic atmosphere.”

“We’ve had a truly outstanding experience with Alima, as she helped prepare our daughter for her 7+ exam.

Her approach was nothing short of brilliant—thoughtfully tailored, encouraging, and incredibly effective. She brought a great blend of patience, creativity, and insight to every session, always managing to strike the perfect balance between support and challenge.

Our daughter not only grew in confidence and understanding but genuinely looked forward to each lesson!

We’re incredibly grateful for the positive impact Alima has had and would highly recommend her to any family seeking a dedicated and inspiring tutor.”

“Alima was so patient and nurturing with our daughter.
She really valued her clear, structured approach and she made so much progress in her creative writing in just the space of a couple of weeks.
Her writing was noted as a strength by a school assessment which was a wonderful surprise! ”
